Do you know a shop or business in your local area, somewhere you think would be perfect for the Safer Places scheme? If you do then tell us the name and where it is, if you like you can even tell us why you think it should be in the Safer Places scheme.
When the scheme is up and running we will keep a regularly update of shops and businesses taking part in the Safer Places scheme on our website.
Thank you for taking part.

The User Forum Safer Places survey
Hi David
We are just at the early stages of looking at the idea of setting up Safer Places in Northumberland so we will be discussing the things you mention and seeking advice as to how best to do this before the scheme begins. We would expect shops and businesses who sign up to the scheme to operate within a charter with agreed protocols to deal with incidents so that people have confidence and know what help they can expect to get. Can you tell us about how Safer in Town runs in St Helen's?
Thanks
Ann
I am an Advocate in St Helens and am aware of a local scheme of a similar nature to safer places. In St Helens it is called safer in town. I was wondering if you could provide me with some information. How do you monitor the effectiveness of the scheme and do the shops and businesses have designated people who provide the support, do the people have police checks and protocols in dealing with incidents. I would be really gratefull for any information you could provide.
Regards
David
